Available Materials

JGB prides itself on offering a wide range of recycled aggregate materials to meet your construction needs. Additionally, our materials undergo rigorous quality control and regular testing. We are proud to offer several MADOT approved materials to include the gravel borrow (M1.03.0) and reclaimed pavement borrow (M1.09.0) specifications. Additionally, we've developed a 1" minus recycled asphalt gravel designed for paving contractors to increase the efficiency of hand-work and fine-grading. Best of all, we are here to suit your needs. If you are in need of a particular size or quantity of material we will do our best to accommodate as our size allows us to change gears quickly in order to fulfill the needs of our customers.

Recycled Asphalt Gravel

We offer recycled asphalt gravel in two variations to include a 1" minus which is ideal for hand-work or fine grading as well as a MADOT M1.09.0-1 approved 1.5" minus ideal for use in road, parking lot, or sidewalk construction.

Our recycled asphalt consists of aggregates (such as crushed stone, gravel, or sand) and reclaimed asphalt pavement.

Recycled asphalt is known for its durability and performance and recycling asphalt helps conserve non-renewable natural resources.

Crushed Stone

Crushed stone is a versatile and widely used construction material that is produced by breaking down large rocks into smaller, more manageable pieces.

This material is commonly used in a variety of construction projects, including road and highway construction, building foundations, decorative and structural landscaping, and drainage systems.

We offer 3/4", 1.5", 3", and 6-8" angular crushed stone.

3/4" Dense Grade Gravel

This is an organic material consisting of a combination of angular stone and fines (stone dust).

This is a highly utilized subgrade material for roadways, parking lots, walks, patios and much more. When compacted it forms a solid and durable surface. As such, it is commonly used as the surface layer of a typical "gravel" driveway.

Crushed Concrete

Crushed concrete is a recycled construction material that is produced by crushing concrete debris from demolition sites.

Rather than discarding old concrete structures, crushed concrete is processed and used as an aggregate in new construction projects.
This sustainable practice helps reduce the demand for virgin materials and minimizes the environmental impact associated with concrete disposal.

Crushed concrete is used in a variety of construction applications, including:
road and pavement construction, fill applications (as crushed concrete can provide structural support and stability), landscaping (structural or aesthetic), and as erosion control.

We offer crushed concrete stone in 2" minus or 2"-6" products.

Recycled Concrete Gravel

Recycled concrete, also known as crushed concrete aggregate (CCA) or recycled concrete aggregate (RCA), is a sustainable construction material produced by processing and reusing old or demolished concrete and gravel.

The particle size of recycled concrete can vary, but it typically ranges from fine particles to coarse aggregates, depending on the crushing process and the intended use of the recycled material.

We offer this product as a 2" and 3/4" minus concrete gravel.

Common Fill

Common fill refers to a type of material used to fill voids, depressions, or excavated areas in construction projects. It serves as a foundation or support material and is commonly used to raise the ground level or create a level surface for further construction.

Common fill materials can vary, but they often include soil, sand, gravel, or a combination of these materials.

Common fill is used in various construction applications, including:
foundation fills,
grading and leveling, land reclamation, and road construction.

This is typically offered as a 6" minus material.

Loam

Loam is a type of soil that is well-balanced in terms of its composition of sand, silt, and clay particles.

Screened Gravel

This material is screened gravel with sand and rocks smaller than 2".

This material is great for shallow fills/grade changes when both compaction and permeability are both necessary.
